Southwestern Influence

One of a kind Lauren Hampton Belt
Influenced by the trend in southwestern looks I created this turquoise and silver belt. 

The buckle and conchos are on a black hair on leather strap but like all our belts you can change the strap to any color to suit your mood or style!

Main buckle center is made from a vintage victorian shoe clip.   Whenever I used vintage pieces I think about who might have used this shoe clip way back when........

Crochet handbags are popping up everywhere this season.  Even Stella McCartney designed a stunner (bottom right bag above) which costs a whopping $2,165!  I was so inspired by these retro bags that I designed a few of my own.

Violette Heaven!

Forty One Degrees North Restaurant

Hope everyone had a great weekend!  I spent mine in Newport, Rhode Island and discovered my new favorite summer drink, prosecco and creme de violette served at Forty One Degrees North Restaurant as one of their signature cocktails.   Not only does it taste good but it is a beautiful shade of violette in your champagne glass!  Unfortunately the creme de violette liquer is not available in any of the stores around me but did manage to hunt it down online and will be ordering a few to enjoy this summer.   It really is a delicious cocktail and so light and perfect for hot summer nights.  This liqueur is produced from a careful maceration of Queen Charlotte and March Violets....so lovely...  It was a perfect weekend!

New Heights

Christian Louboutin designed these 8 inch (yes...8 inch!) stiletto shoes which will be auctioned off to raise money for the English National Ballet.  Talk about being on your toes!  Ouch!
