Loving the cowboy boots that are so popular now! These are from countryoutfitters.com and they are all priced really well! Pair these with a Lauren Hampton Belt!

acts of kindness.....
First I want to say how very hard it has been for us here in Connecticut dealing with the horrible news that came last Friday about the school shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown. On a personal level it has gone much, much deeper for me and my family. We lived in Newtown for years and two of my children attended Sandy Hook Elementary School. We knew the nurse who thankfully survived by hiding under her desk and we knew teachers there too.
I am an idealist so the horrors of dealing with evil in this world is very hard for me. I cannot understand anyone hurting anyone. I lived with a physically abusive person and just could never understand how someone could treat someone that way. I certainly cannot comprehend how anyone could hurt a child. They are so very innocent. Anytime someone physically abuses or hurts another, underneath it lies a coward.
There is evil in this world. There is no getting away from that. I can only hope that anyone who reads this will pass along the 26 acts of kindness that Ann Curry of NBC started on Twitter. She is asking everyone to make good out of bad. She is asking that we remember those innocent little babies and brave administrators by paying it forward. So I ask you too....
Over the next weeks and months lets spread the word and do random acts of kindness. I am making it my mission over the weeks and months to come to personally perform 26 random acts of kindness. It could be anything from paying for someones check in a restaurant to bringing a care package to a sick neighbor. If all of us who are grieving (and I believe this goes world wide) did this could you imagine the impact?

spring 2013.....
Here in Connecticut it is a gloomy, rainy day so what better way to feel better than to look ahead at the beautiful colors of spring? This year Pantone has given us some lovely shades of blues, greens, a poppy red, violet, nectarine and a wonderful neutral color, linen!
