Fall Fashion Preview

THE RUNWAY REPORT

Midi Length Skirts and Dresses
Fur Trend For Fall 2011 Continues...
Military Trend for Fall
I know we have barely started into the warm months of spring and summer and I am posting a preview for fall fashion!  Well, that is the way fashion goes!  It is always months ahead.  I think it's good to know what the coming season's fashion and color trends will be.  It actually can help you to plan ahead when you see that perfect color or item that will transition from the warmer months to fall.  Here is a preview of what is to come this fall:

Pantone's Colors For Fall 2011

Top Fashion Trends:

1.  Military Style:
This trend was seen at Chanel, Marc Jacobs and Etro to name a few with aviator jackets, military coats and golden buttons adorning the catwalks

2.  70's Style:
Will continue into the fall with long and lean silouettes including maxi skirts, long dresses and the pantsuit.  Feminine touches like breezy blouses with flared pants and girly vests will be popular along with anything a bit boho.

3.  50's Influence:
Midi skirts (not a particular fave, as they can look dowdy unless done right!), A line skirts, "doctor" bags and squared toes were seen at Prada, Louis Vuitton and Marc Jacobs.

4.  Minimalist:
Anyone that knows me knows that this would be bottom of my list, however, the fabrics used were high quality and well tailored at the catwalks of Celine and Stella McCartney.  The look features clear lines, simplicity and lacks embellishments.  Colors are plain like grey, black, white and beige.

5.  Navajo and Tribal Influence:
Navajo and tribal inspired prints embellished bags, accessories and clothing

6.  Gloves:
Gloves were seen all over the fall runways so break out the gloves for a lady-like touch!

7.  Fur:
Shown on purses, shoes, skirts and cuffs.  This trend was here to stay for the season.

8.  Leather:
Was all over the runway and shown on skirts, pants, shorts and jackets.

9.  Shoe Trends:
Wedge boots, fur boots, laced up boots, chunky heels, buckle embellishments, thigh high boots and platforms were everywhere!

10.  Crimson:
Tons of crimson adorned the runways at Proenza, Schouler's and Michael Kors

11.  Statement Coats and Cape-like Coats:
A must for fall 2011, statement coats and cape-like coats were shown by designer after designer!

12.  Lace:
Will continue to be popular for the season so stock up!
