how to clean your jewelry......

Since we are organizing, building our wardrobes and spring cleaning, we thought we would also give you some tips on keeping your jewelry looking beautiful!

Soak gold jewelry in 2 cups warm water and mild dishwashing liquid like Joy.  Gently scrub with a soft bristled toothbrush.  Rinse with warm water.

Soak diamonds in one cup warm water and 1/4 cup ammonia.  Gently scrub with a soft toothbrush.  Rinse and lay on a towel to dry.

Rub each pearl individually with a soft clean cloth dampened with a solution of 2 cups warm water and mild dishwashing liquid (do not soak strand as it can cause the string to stretch!).  Let dry overnight.

If silver is tarnished use a silver polishing cloth or a jar of silver cleaning liquid such as Goddards Silver Dip.  If it is not tarnished but just dirty, soak in warm water and dishwashing soap, rinse and let dry.

Dip in warm water.  Gently scrub with a soft toothbrush.  Rinse and let air dry.
